Code of Ethics

This Internal Code of Ethics sets out the rules of conduct to which we adhere. We implement these rules with a view to translating them into values, both professional and personal. They are aspirational values that we apply day in, day out, to steer our actions and to help us improve wherever we may fall short. Full compliance with the Code of Ethics is vitally important for us, and we all— on both the individual and corporate levels — take on the responsibility of abiding by the rules.
As people, we work hard to build solid, durable relationships, founded on our commitment to behave honestly, fairly and with integrity at all times, never cutting corners, even when it would be easier to do so.
We build relations with one another in the conviction that everyone at DAARD is fully committed to promoting the good of the company and to ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
We are committed to interacting openly and loyally with one another, with suppliers and with customers.
We are ready to welcome innovation and change.
We embrace diversity and consider it a value to live by. Opinions different to our own are important, especially those that challenge our current way of thinking. We believe that debate is a cornerstone of continuous improvement.
We support the professional development of our colleagues. We promote their personal success and their lifelong learning.
We are convinced that our own success is inextricably linked with that of our colleagues and our customers.
We do our best to live up at all times to the trust placed in us by our customers, and we always do everything possible to ensure their satisfaction.
We are committed to providing services of genuine quality that address and fulfil the specific problems and needs of our customers.
We are positive people. Each and every day, we are all faced with a complex economic backdrop and a highly competitive market situation. The values with which we face new challenges help us to define and enhance the reputation of DAARD.
Our values help us to meet the expectations of our customers, and we like to think that these same values have the capacity, however limited, to change the market in which we operate for the better.
This statement of ethical practice has been drawn up in order to provide our customers with documentation and certification confirming that the manufacture of the products, and the branding of those products, are based on the application of precise rules.
We act fairly, and with integrity. With honest intentions, we apply our energy and enthusiasm to the task in hand.
We comply with the standards and regulations that govern our operations.
We refuse under all circumstances to adopt working practices that are unethical or unlawful.
We avoid relations with customers and other parties whose modes of conduct are incompatible with our own Code of Ethics.
No outcome is more important than that of preserving our standard of ethics and integrity, and our reputation.
We are conscious of the fact that our competitive edge is gained through the excellence of our professional performance and the quality of our services.
In accordance with statutory regulations, we respect and protect any confidential information obtained from our customers and the personal data of our own human resources.
We pro‐actively implement suitable measures to protect our documents, our computers and all systems containing personal data or confidential information.
We acquire, develop and protect intellectual property, adopting the right and proper methods of doing so.
We abide by restrictions on the reproduction and use of such property.
In the daily business of making quality products for our customers, we seek directly and indirectly to improve the conditions of our in‐house workers and our external co‐workers.
We recognize that manufacturing for third parties is an activity that requires compliance with all regulations — national, European and international, where applicable.
We identify strongly with point 6 of the Magna Carta — signed up to by representatives of the textile industry and trade union organizations of European and other countries — in support of the right to free association and collective bargaining, the prohibition of forced labour, regulation of the minimum age for child workers, minimum working standards (working hours, wages, working conditions, etc.), equal opportunities (gender, race, etc.), accident prevention and compensation in the event of injuries suffered at work.

Iby6, the first icon of the project, arose out of the creative collaboration with a number of successful partners. Every Daard product and every Daard component has been designed to deliver the very highest levels of aesthetic impact and functional performance. We wanted to bring together the most innovative players to achieve the best possible result.
